Frequently Asked Questions
Product Manager & Licensing FAQs
What is VanBlaisa Product Manager?
VanBlaisa Product Manager is the central WordPress control panel for installing, licensing, activating and updating products in The VanBlaisa Intelligence Engine Suite.
It shows which products are included with your licence, which products are installed and whether updates are available.
Do I need Product Manager to use VanBlaisa plugins?
Product Manager is the recommended way to install, activate and manage VanBlaisa products.
Some products may include a standalone licence fallback, but Product Manager provides the cleanest suite-wide installation and entitlement experience.
How do I install VanBlaisa Product Manager?
- Download the Product Manager ZIP file from your VanBlaisa account or purchase email.
- Sign in to WordPress as an administrator.
- Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Select the Product Manager ZIP file.
- Select Install Now.
- Activate the plugin when installation is complete.
Do not extract the ZIP file before uploading it through WordPress.
Why does WordPress say “No valid plugins were found”?
This usually means the wrong ZIP file was uploaded or the plugin package was extracted and repackaged incorrectly.
Download a fresh copy of Product Manager and upload the original ZIP file without modifying it.
Why does Product Manager show an HTML error, 404 or timeout?
Licence requests should return structured validation data.
An HTML page, 404 response or timeout usually indicates a routing, server, firewall, cache or connectivity problem rather than a valid licence response.
Record the full error message and contact support if it continues.
Why is my licence not activating?
Check the following:
- the order is completed;
- the key was copied correctly;
- the activation limit has not been reached;
- the website can make outbound HTTPS requests;
- a firewall or security plugin is not blocking the request;
- the licence has not expired, been refunded or been revoked.
What happens if Product Manager cannot contact the licence server?
A new or previously unverified licence should not unlock products when the licence server cannot be reached.
A website with a licence that was previously verified may temporarily use a secure local grace record during a short service interruption.
Can I download plugins without Product Manager?
Available manual downloads depend on the product and your account entitlements.
Product Manager remains the recommended installation and update method because it checks both the licence and the product entitlement before installing a package.
Why can’t I find my licence after purchasing?
Check that:
- the payment completed successfully;
- the order is marked as completed;
- you signed in with the same email address used at checkout;
- the setup email is not in your spam folder.
Contact support with the order number if the order completed but no licence was supplied.
Where do I view my orders, licences and downloads?
Orders, licence records and entitled downloads are managed on the VanBlaisa licence and commerce website.
The support site is used for documentation, troubleshooting and support tickets. Product Manager is used to validate licences and manage plugins on the WordPress website.
Will uninstalling Product Manager remove my other VanBlaisa plugins?
Removing Product Manager should not normally uninstall the other VanBlaisa plugins from WordPress.
However, Product Manager controls central licence and entitlement handling, so installed products may lose access to central validation, updates or management functions. Back up the site before removing it.
Why did a plugin installation or update fail?
Common causes include:
- the product is not entitled;
- the licence could not be validated;
- the package download was blocked;
- WordPress cannot write to the plugins directory;
- the server has insufficient disk space;
- an existing duplicate folder caused a conflict;
- a firewall or security service blocked the request.
Record the exact error before retrying.
Why is Product Manager showing the wrong plugin version?
This may happen when:
- a second copy of the plugin exists under another folder;
- an older manually uploaded copy is active;
- WordPress or object caching has not refreshed;
- an update completed only partially.
Check the normal WordPress Plugins screen for duplicate copies, confirm which version is active and refresh Product Manager.
How do I update a VanBlaisa product?
Open Product Manager and compare the installed version with the available version.
Before updating:
- Back up the website.
- Review any release notes or known issues.
- Confirm the licence is active.
- Select the update action.
- Test the plugin after the update completes.
Why is a product listed as installed but not active?
The plugin files exist on the website, but WordPress has not activated the plugin.
Activate it through Product Manager or the standard WordPress Plugins screen.
How do I install a VanBlaisa product through Product Manager?
- Activate your VanBlaisa licence.
- Open Product Manager.
- Find the entitled product.
- Select the install action.
- Wait for Product Manager to download and install the package.
- Activate the plugin if it is not activated automatically.
- Open the product and complete its Quick Start guide.
What happens if an order is refunded or revoked?
A refunded or revoked purchase should no longer pass a fresh licence validation.
A previously verified website may temporarily show its last secure cached entitlement, but the licence server remains the source of truth and should return the licence as revoked or invalid after the cache is refreshed or expires.
Can I move my licence to another website?
Yes, provided the move complies with the licence’s activation allowance.
Back up both sites, migrate the website, release the previous activation where possible and then validate the licence on the new domain. Support may need to assist if the old activation cannot be removed.
Why have I reached my activation limit?
Common causes include:
- the licence is already active on the allowed number of websites;
- a staging site consumed an activation;
- the website was migrated to a new domain;
- an old website activation was not released;
- multiple test installations were created.
Contact support with the old and new domain names if an activation needs to be corrected.
What is a licence activation limit?
The activation limit controls how many websites can use the licence at the same time.
When the limit has been reached, Product Manager should block activation on an additional website rather than unlocking products without authorisation.
What does “not entitled” mean?
“Not entitled” means the licence is recognised, but the selected product is not included with that licence.
Check the products included with your purchase or contact support with your order number if the entitlement appears incorrect.
Why is my licence valid but a product is not available?
A valid licence does not automatically include every VanBlaisa product.
The product may:
- not be included in your plan;
- belong to a different purchase;
- be awaiting completed payment;
- have an expired or revoked entitlement;
- require Product Manager to refresh its licence status.
What is a product entitlement?
An entitlement tells Product Manager which VanBlaisa products your licence includes.
A valid single-product licence should unlock only that product. A bundle or full-suite licence should display all products included in that purchase.
Where do I enter my VanBlaisa licence key?
Open VanBlaisa Product Manager in the WordPress administration area and locate the licence activation section.
Paste the key supplied with your purchase and select the available activation or validation button. Button labels may vary slightly by Product Manager version.
Why does WordPress say the destination folder already exists?
An older or incomplete Product Manager folder may already exist in
wp-content/plugins.Back up the website, check the WordPress Plugins screen for an existing copy and remove only the confirmed duplicate or incomplete folder before reinstalling.
Can Product Manager connect my website to the Intelligence Engine App?
Product Manager is intended to become the secure connection point between a WordPress website and the VanBlaisa Intelligence Engine App.
The complete site claim, business matching and plugin synchronisation flow is still being introduced. The connection options available may depend on your Product Manager and App version.
Does “connected” mean the website is authorised and entitled?
Not necessarily.
A website can be detected technically without being fully:
- claimed by the correct account;
- associated with the correct business;
- authorised;
- connected to an active licence;
- entitled to every installed product.
The planned App connection distinguishes claimed, pending, unclaimed and blocked states.
What should I include in a Product Manager support ticket?
Include:
- website URL;
- Product Manager version;
- WordPress and PHP versions;
- product or bundle purchased;
- order number;
- product name;
- exact error message;
- screenshot of the Product Manager screen;
- masked licence key only.
Never include passwords, complete licence keys, API keys, OAuth secrets or payment card information.
